From yesterday's New York Post:
ON the issue of affluent Americans paying more income taxes, John Kerry is, as always, consistent in his inconsistency. On the campaign trail, he's in favor of raising taxes on everybody who makes over $200,000 a year. Unless, of course, he's the one being asked to pay more, in which case, forget about it.
Massachusetts tax payers have the option to pay at an older 5.85% tax rate, rather than the current 5.3% rate. Did Kerry? Of course not. In fact, less than 700 residents did.
If Kerry isn't willing to pay more when he has an easy option to do so, why does he want other Americans to? Perhaps more importantly, if 99.97% of taxpayers refuse to pay more, why does he advocate this position? The answer, I can only assume, is that he's a Dummocrat (emphasis on the "dum").
