  • Don't Want To Be A Canadian Idiot

       November 22, 2004

As someone who actually knows all the words to Oh Canada (and, I used to even know them in French) it pains me to ask, "What the hell is wrong with Canada?"

They want to "save" liberal Americans by marrying them, MPs stomping on Bush dolls, and even have some loonies calling for Bush to be arrested as a war criminal when he travels to Ottawa later this year.

Along those lines, lgf and SondraK both linked to a hilarious Canadian website for the "Toronto Coalition to Stop the War". I thought our neighbors to the north were supposed to be calmer and more British-like than Americans, but these guys are just as looney as their American equivalents. It's like all these lefties follow the same checklist.

    1. Imply 9/11 was somehow a government plot. Check

    2. Deny that President Bush actually won the election:

This will be Bush's first international visit since his 're-election' as president two weeks ago (only 28% of voting-age Americans voted for Bush while 98 million Americans didn't vote at all).

    Check

    3. Photoshop a picture of Bush so he looks stupid. Check.

You get the idea. Anyway, the big news with this group is that they're organizing bus trips to Ottawa so that when Bush comes they can put out an "un-welcome mat" for him (yes, I'm rolling my eyes too). But, the bus trip does provide my absolute favorite thing on the entire site:

Return bus tickets cost between $40.00 and $60.00 on a sliding scale (pay whatever you can within this range). Higher end tickets will subsidise lower end tickets for those who can't afford to pay more.

Oh, those wacky socialists. Will they ever learn? What percent of bus riders do you think pay $60? Zero? 10? You know, the more I think about it, the more I realize that Hillary "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good" Clinton would be a perfect leader...for Canada.

Please do not think we are all like that. If you did a mirror image of your election map you would see Canada's election map. Our MSM media is just as biased as yours so do not believe everything you hear. I'd have voted Bush if I had the chance. If you want to replace a citizen with one of your lefties that come up here I will gladly take his place.

Darin is wrong, wrong, wrong. The main stream media in Canada is way farther to the left that it is in the states. Thank god Fox News is coming! Let's hope the busses make a wrong turn on the way to Ottawa and end up in Kabul or Falluja!

Hey anti-canadian. Instead of saying whats wrong with Canada.Whats wrong with the states.
Instead of stomping on a bush doll she should have stomped on an american flag. Many american have been ungratefull selfish freaks. talking about how much canada needs them ( give it a break) research your american/canadian history. Canada doesnt need you and if the US didnt have canada. what is now canada would be russia. They had had alaska. And remember the US canadian war when USA's goverment attacked quebec. Well canada's army smashed the heck out of the american troops and torched the white house. At that period of time they could have taken your precious country but were mercifull. If it wasnt for canada discarding its AvroArrow the canadian aviators that were hired by the states made your F-16,F-18 and harrier. US offered us their missle system in exchange and look were still waiting for your crappy missle system 20yrs. Canada was a world super power intill The US goverment delt with Mr.truedo and dufenbaker.the US bought our technology without it your country would be a pathetic hick country . Your Irak war could never work without the US purchasing canadian fuel to run their pathetic humvee's. And the armer is made using canadian metalics. So who needs who. Our lumbers sells better to japan they trade more with us than you.

Canada doesn't need America? Good luck finding a market for those 85% of your exports that we buy.
