  • Wisconsin State Quarter Misprint

       February 10, 2005

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that a flawed Wisconsin state quarter is fetching upwards of $500 from some collectors. There are actually 2 variations of the flaw, each involving an extra husk on the ear of corn. Why the Journal chose to refer to this husk as a "leaf" in their story I can't say, though my guess is that they are probably importing too many reporters from New York or something.

The article reports that most of the flawed quarters have been turning up the in southwestern US, but that's no reason to think that you can't find one in your pocket if you happen to live in Crivitz. Just take a closer look next time you get change, and you just may be "in the money."

(This is the cob on a regular quarter. Compare to the images below.)

both of these quarters are flawed - each ear contains an extra husk

An expert cited in the Journal article says that the coins are not the result of a "mistake," that they must have been deliberately misprinted. Now, tell me, did you have any doubt in your mind at all that the Wisconsin quarter would end up being the most valuable? :-)

Full sized pictures of the flawed quarter here, in the extended entry.

The article would have made searching for a defective Wisconsin quarter easier had it included the mint mark involved. Was the mistake from the Denver or Philadelphia mint?

I haven't found anything that says what mint, but I'd assume they are from Denver since, to date, they've just been found in the southwest.

how would knowing the mint mark make it "easier" to "search" for the coin?

you pick up a quarter. the first piece of information you need to know is "IS IT A WISCONSIN QUARTER?" so you check the back. if it is indeed a Wisconsin quarter, you check to see if it has an extra husk or leaf.

again, i fail to see how this extra bit of information would make it "easier" for you to peform a search.

Why is it called dummocrats, why not dumbrepublicans, there are more dumb republicans in charge now days. Look at the mess they've made, they can't even make enough good money to take care of the debt they caused. They only make more money to waste more. I wish I could make more money, not to spend more nor to be rich, but to afford to go to my doctor for my medicines. Dumb republicans don't ever have to worry about money for medicines because they line their pockets with money and then they still want more.
I'd love to hear about some of these rich people try to live on $20,000.00 a year (now that would make a real good realty show) que no? Yea, put that Thump, Hump, Frump,You're Fired guy, whatever his name is on a show and give him only twenty thou and maybe another 20 thou to his new wife and see if they can survive on that much. But they can't have access to their cards or other money. Of course, they have to work for their 20 thousand. They can't have their fancy clothes or cars, they have to have a jalopy so they have to pay to fix it or they have to be able to fix it themselves. Yup, that would be a great show. ;-) Ah, well, WHATEVER!!!! Maybe I'll get to meet some of you in another life. Good luck all, and May God be With Us ALL !!!

The mint mark would make it easier to look for the flaw because you can eliminate most of the Wisconsin quarters without having to pull out a magnifying glass. You can start with only those having the particular mint mark.

    Nania,

From your comments it seems you would have pursued a policy of appeasement with Saddam. We tried that once about 65 years ago. It doesn't work. Never let a murderous dictator grow in strength. And yes fighting terrorists takes money. Bush is actually doing well with the economy. Jobless rate is below Clinton's. Homeownership rate has soared to historic highs. All this while inheriting a recession from Clinton and an attack from terrorists. Not too shabby you must admit.

Study history Nania or you will help cause it's repeat.

I don't know what you read, but I never mentioned Saddam, Bush or Clinton. Actually, I was all for bringing in Saddam dead rather than alive (preferably in small pieces).

You should try reading a comment instead of inserting your own, Jack. You are entitled to your own opinion as I am, but do not put your words into my mouth.

And to join in the political arguement, I believe republicans are of a stronger breed. Democrats have a very ugly idea of who/what a republican is. Most republicans are very humble. They are willing, and able, to become somebody with little to work with. I do not wine when times get tough, I just stick out my chest and hope things get better. And you know what? Things do get better, because I have great work ethic and I do not blame my problems on others, mental diseases(depression and such),or the GOVERNMENT. To all you people who do not accept or take care of your responsibilities, I pity you. For, you will never go anywhere, and never be able to relax and enjoy life. All I can say to you proud reps, you are so twisted in your minds. bush isn't the one who is keeping us safe, it's our troops that are trying to make a wrong right. you don't see our fearless leader over there leading our troops, do you? Of course not, he's over here hiding behind his desk pushing paper and buttons, going on vacations, playing with his dogs and making an ass of himself. He wouldn't know what to do if he went over there except to pose for pictures and smile for the cameras. our troops are over there getting killed for us all and when they try to defend themselves, they get sent back to the u.s. to be prosecuted for murder. now, i wonder why our fearless leader is not getting prosecuted for these murders too, he is the LEADER, after all, isn't he? The president and all the damn generals should be prosecuted for anything our troops are prosecuted for. But, of course, you proud republicans have an excuse for them, right but not for our troops!!! Hypocrits, brown nosers, lambes!! YOU are the ones that have to open your eyes and SEE for yourselves what is happening to our AMERICA!! Mark my words, Bush is going to get us mixed up in another mess before he leaves office. Then what?

I haven't found any of the state quarters yet but collected quite a few in my search for them. I read on the site somewhere that it was not a "misprint" but intentional. That's stupid. The US Mint works to produce great masses of coins and bills, and is quick to recall any error coins... for someone to say it was on purpose if probably more stuipd that the person "who printed the quarter on purpose"!!! I'm happy for anyone who gets one in their possession, and hope one falls my way too. :o)

For all of those people who say they support the troops.... stop paying lip service, and support our troops. From E-1 private to the joint chiefs of staff. They are all our troops. A magnet on your car is something you put on then forget about. Soldiers in Iraq, and Afghanistan need your support with things like phone cards and other little things. so support them by any means possible. God Bless The U.S.A.

in response to the pinhead above who stated that bush is just hiding behind his desk. name one president that has fought at the forefront of the battle, actually fighting? George Washington is the only one i can think of, and that was actually before he was president. kind of senseless to send a president out to fight wars. where was bill clinton when he was bombing kosovo? behind his desk, where he was supposed to be.

and as far as bush getting us mixed up in another mess, he's revolutionizing the way the middle east is thinking. look at the middle east now and compare it to 5, or 10 years ago. israel and palestine is looking better, sadaam is out of power, saudis are holding low govt elections, afghanistan is holding elections, lebanon wants syria out, so does the rest of the middle east.

things aren't perfect, but they are starting to fall into place. bush is now doing the things clinton was too afraid to do.

is not this country the UNITED states of america? why do we have to be divided into 2 "parties" and constantly argue with who's right? yes, saddam is evil and should have been removed, however, i do not agree 100% with what the POTUS "said" to "go to war" with iraq. however, i agree with most of these republican comments on here (i am independent, btw) in regards to their comments on Bush. i.e.: the jobless rate, the homeownership rate, the small-business owners keeping their business(es). i have not looked up the facts, but i am willing to accept that they are correct.

this country, and the residents in it, need to quit being so narrow-minded and blaming our situation on "our leader".

i personally do not like Bush, but hell, who would do a better job? Kerry? Who took a camera over to Vietnam instead of his pistol? gimme a break.

and as far as our country's security goes, there is nothing whatsoever we can do to prevent future terrorist attacks. we may put measures in place that certainly will deter terrorists from attacking... (and on a side note, the Bush Admin. has thwarted 20+ Al-Qaeda-related plans of terror activities from happening in the US, which I applaud), but if they want to do it, they will do it.

read this month's issue of maxim (it has jennifer love hewitt on the cover), and check out the article regarding possible future terrorist attacks, they are very plausible scenarios and i pray to God they do not happen, but there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop what evil wants to do.

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS. someone has given up THEIR life so that you may enjoy YOURS.

It's not likely to ever change. Bush is the saddest excuse ever for a president. The only reason we went there was for oil, he's got to keep it all in the family you know. Republicans are idiots, and so is Bush. thank you and gooday

Besides, where exactly does this flawed quarter come into politics?(and please give me a real answer that matters and not some stupid liberal B.S.) I am an ultra neo-conservative, but I am NOT RICH, infact I am poor, I just believe in "If you can't figure it out on your own or LUCK into someone helping you, then you get what you deserve." Basically, the U.S. is a free country, but I can die for my country before I can have a beer. I can be arrested for smoking within 15 feet of a building (my city at least). I can pay the government my money so that they can give it to old people who didn't save for themselves and have to give that money to rich doctors and when I get old there will be nothing left. This is long enough. If you want to respond to me with something other than a simple "Bush sucks" or other unbacked-up comments, then feel free to write me at mrosebaugh@austin.rr.com

Every time I hear(or read) 'Bush is a liar' I can tell it is an uneducated democrat with a short memory. How many times did Clinton lie? Not only to his wife, family and friend but the world. Hey dems...He perjured himself on several occasions. He was getting some in the oval office(and not from Hillary) while talking about sending troops to fight. He turned down Sudan's offering of Osama 3 times and we know what that lead to. He let teh bombing of the Cole, US Embassies, and killing of Americans in Somalia go completely unpunished.

comments offering to sell quarters are deleted, as those are likely fraudulent. also, particularly vulgar comments are deleted.

as to why the rest of the comments arent being deleted - this is a post about quarters, and most everyone feels the need to comment on politics. sadly, this is an example of the types of people that walk into a voting booth on election day and pull a lever. arent you glad that we let everyone make important decisions like that?

also, im sort of using this thread as an example of "why we moderate other forums." ;)

And if we stood back and took it, then they do it again...Then you would be blaming bush for NOT doing anything. With you democrates its a lose lose situation. I live in an area where bush was not favored. When people hear I voted for him the have their unkind comments to make. But isnt it odd when I hear people voted for Kerry, I dont knock them for what they believe in. As we live in America...thank god we can vote and have freedom! I have bigger fish to fry. While working part-time at a local convenience store, I was informed by one of my patrons that the newly released Wisconson quarter had a flaw on it that could potentialy be worth some money. In an effort to discover more about the flaw and the potential value of the quarter, I turned to the Internet to see what I could find. Boy, was I appaled at what I found!!

Through what I thought would be an innocent google search, I came across this site and this thread.I am not bothered by the name of the site as I claim no political affiliation, however, what I am reading does pain me. What started out as an article that explained in detail what the flaw was on the Wisconsin quarter, ended up being a heated political debate about who were the bigger idoits: Republicans or Democrats. I know that this debate is not new; however, reading the intensity and emotion contained within this thread really scares the daylights out of me.

While we are here in America enjoying our freedom to express our political views, this debate has made it clear that we have forgotten the most important thing of all: We are ALL still Americans. It does not matter if we are Republican, Democrat, Muslim, Christian, Nazi, Jew, Black, White, Red or yellow - we are ALL a target!! At this stage in the game it doesn't much matter how we got into this mess; what does matter, is how do we get out of it?!?!?!?!? Some of us believe GWB can do no wrong. Others of us believe that he is the anti-christ. The truth of the matter is, He is the current "chosen" elected official presiding over the government of this country; and like him or not, we have to trust him to guide us through this mess.

If we cannot stand united as a country, we will definately fall as Democrats and Republicans . . . .

    Remember 9.11.01
    I was there . . . .

WAR:\'wor\ 1: A State or Period of usu. open and declared armed fighting between states or nations.2: the art or science of warfare 3: a state of hostility, conflict, or antagonism 4: a struggle between opposing forces or beliefs for the purpose of a particular end.
Yes we know our Country is at war with ANOTHER. It is obvious with reading the posts above that we are at war with ONEANOTHER as well. This is Oh so very sad. How Ironic is it that we are fighting for the security of our own country, to try and prevent another attack(s). Attacks within our country that cause pain, insecurity, harm, death and destruction. All the while trying to help give the people of that country the freedoms such as ours. Freedom of speech, choices....And what has those freedoms done to us? Divide & Separate, Cause Fighting, hostility and war among us. If we can not Unite as a Country, what kind of example & future are we leaving for our next generation? One day it may be another GREAT COUNTRY COME IN AND TRY TO STOP OUR WAR.

    Dear Bigheaded Democrat:
For someone who is so dedicated to being a democrat, you should understand the essence of free speech, and stop attacking what us Republicans have to say. It's obvious to anyone reading that you're upset either because of the war, or the turnout of the elections. Either way, there ain't shit you can do about it. So instead of attacking readers because of their beliefs, why don't you take some of that pent-up energy and exercise it on fixing this screwed up place called America. Why don't we forget about which side we're on, and focus on cleaning up the society that's going to ruin this country before the war even comes close.

Ok I'm going to respond best I can too all of these posts.

First off it seems when I think about it to be rather silly that because a coin is 'accidentally' printed with an extra leaf that shouldn't be there it should be worth more. How hard would it be in reality if someone really wanted to for them to make a authentic or close replica of these two quarters. I am sure there is collectors out there that would want them for whatever personal reasons but most people just want them for the money you can get out of them more than likely, especially with the poverties of today and online auctioning for such things like Ebay. To be honest I would keep it personally instead of sell it and it does actually look cool to some extent. I've collected quite a few different coins over the years and bills too. I like the art that goes into them and even the history that goes into the quarters. It's worth being very aware of where you and others are from and be knowledgable of where you are going instead of flying blind and letting others take the wheel.

You are right though I wish I could make more money from my hard work and own merits and soon I will fight for that with college finishing for me soon. I really do not want to live my entire life dependant on anyone like the pockets of all the taxpayers when I can work hard for the things I need. I'd especially don't want to be under the government's control because when you are dependant on someone you are sacrificing your individuality to some extent and your freedoms. You have to do what someone else wants you to do to get what you need or things you may think you want but you are only distracted and still being starved from the bear essentials to live and support.

I think you have been misslead about the past interactions with Saddam in the first Bush administration. They are a good part of the reason that Saddam got so powerful in the first place. The same goes for Bin Ladin. It is the M.o. of the Bush clan to have others do the dirty work and the risks for them, so knowing this, why wouldn't he give the two of them weapons and tools they need to take care of their problems instead of doing it themselves. They can even send troops over to ensure it gets done or for support and if our own or the other troops get hurt or killed along the way, oh well they are expendable and doing a service to their country. Lots of b.s. and brainwashing crap, yes? Sorry for the sarcasm but this stuff is serious. They didn't just let them grow in strength, they contributed. The bush clan and them and the Saudi Royal family are old business partners, not necessarily enemies. With the people we have in control and our efforts being viewed at one angle, and being done at a completely different angle, it is a waste to fight terrorism as it is being done now in other words. Where do you seriously think all our money is going? It's a very good question. Where exactly do you get (show me a source or statistic that is solid) that Bush is doing good for the economy and job market? I really don't follow that same outlook on currents events as you seem to but I would really love to hear things from your point of view and test the structure and foundations of my own assertions. I don't know quite as much about Clinton since I never followed him as much, being a child during most of his term in office. My knowledge and reasearch on him is minimal. I can see how what you are saying about the jobless rate is right but are they good jobs or sufficient without having to pull more than one job? Before he was anything political Bush was a businessman and failed horribly at it and would have been worse had his friends not pulled him out of it so now he's running an entire country and repeating history.

What exactly do you find stupid about this site?

You are exactly right. Things can be technically worth hundreds or thousands of dollars but they're not worth a thing unless you can find someone to pay it for them. There are also people who will try to con others and pay a much lower price for something and then resell it soon afterward for a much greater amount. That's where world-wide internet auctioning fits in beautifully from time to time.

I think this post just answered my question. Bush may be creating many more jobs but for noone here, their for people in other countries. The jobs being created here by him pale in comparison to the ones being outsourced. Also your thing about being attacked on our own soil, well I have something to briefly say about that here which I've written many pages about. If you haven't seen it by now yes I am a conspiracy theoris but I try if at all possible in every occasion to have solid evidence to back me up and then connect those things that are solid and use logic. I'm not doing it here but my writings have plenty or sources and photos and excerpts. My point now is, I believe that the 9-11 attacks were those of an inside job with or without the help of Bin Ladin is unknown to me. We have had countless extremely simple opportunities to 'nab him up' but noone ever did and only made it tougher to catch him with various info leaks. My facts and logic behind this assertion is too long to post here but if you are interested I could try to find a way to send it to you. I feel sympathetic to the countless troops over there dying and being mutilated and injured for a false cause, or at the least, suffering over there. I wish they were all back home with their families where they belong instead of being blinded slaves brainwashed to do the bidding of Bush. (I am pascifistic in nature too so I don't believe in or support any war either and my uncle is painfully obvious about being brainwashed and sociopathic) It too reminds me of the way communists approach their goals when they are more descreet about it (no accusations here at all and I have no room to point fingers in this case because it's not a political topic I have studied enough to do such a thing). One thing for sure is anyone can do it and it is sure effective, very effective. I won't get into the liberal/conservative thing either for the same reason (lack of study) but everyone needs to have an open mind, solid good values without alterior motives and they hold water. Don't be offended if someone questions you because if you are write, then they shall pass the test and your values have nothing to worry about. Question everything or you will be turned into slaves as well. Think for yourself if at all possible and not turn to others. It is your only defense and you die a little inside every time you don't. Do you think that Republicans don't have tricks as well? Are you sure you have not fallen for their tricks? Please tell me more about your standpoint and what makes you so proud. It seems to me all the republicans want to live rich and the 'good life' off of the earnings of the poor (steal from the poor and give to the rich) while the democrats try to make themselves more equal to everyone else and so everyone is medium not rich or poor. Is it a wonder that a lot of people have told me that most communistic politicians (self-proclained or secretive or even unaware) work within the democratic party. (I am not saying all democrats are communist to be totall clear) Once again it's not my place to say anything without knowing what I am talking about for sure. Power is tempting to all including those who want middle class so they will feel deserving of it or live this life too or somewhere in the middle. It's say one thing do another for yourself but still ...

I like what you said. Life is a rollercoaster and too many people let it manipulate them to easily. When things are bad they will eventually turn better and when things are good they can't stay that way forever. The good times taste so much sweeter when you ride out the bad times. There are just some things that can't be taken from you and if you are stripped of everything you should be self-sufficient enough to prevail and begin anew if necessary. You are very mature I can see in owning up to your responsibilities. If you can't do something then you can't but if it only makes it harder or take more concentration or time or effort, don't sit and do nothing or expect the worst, work through and past it rather than annoy others with whining because ALL of us have our own problems to attend to. Advice is always good, especially from someone who has been there of course. I have my own disorders and biological issues but I don't get tested or take medicine or ask for special treatment for it. It is who I am and I wouldn't change things for anyone or anything. You must adapt and fight to survive and not let your body or environments make your limits for you or tell you what to do. Like me, there is always a way if you have the will. Find it. Like you say exactly I have control and responsibility in my life, and I earn those things so they are mine and noone else's to hold over me. I choose how I live and I am 'enjoying my life' much more than I did growing up before my mind began to change to what it is now from opening to the outside world.

You are definitely right about Bush. Everytime somehow when I see him on tv he manages to make himself look more and more of a joke or someone who really doesn't know or at least understand what he is doing and the consequences of his actions. Bush might do ok to some extent over there since all of us humans have some base insticts but I think he'd end up getting himself in trouble. He's just not the type of man to go and fight a war or hunt, not that I am putting him down for it, but he seems to be more so built to be a leader. He is a very effective leader indeed and a very effective politician alright (lol wink wink) but I don't agree with his motives or actions. You can be an effective leader and still not do good things. There is another leader in history that was a very effective leader who had very destructive and instigative motives in some aspects but I won't mention them for being accused of making a comparrison. He is a murderer though from my viewpoint you are right in that and the wrong people, if anyone should be prosecuted by man, are being judged. Has anyone ever heard of the concept of chain-of-command or is that just when it makes you look good? Part of doing things you don't like or doing distastefull things is being able to have the burden on your surperior because of the orders you are given which you are to follow. Courts martialing is not pleasant and in situations like this a person could be accused of treason for disobeying these orders and rot in jail or be excuted anyway so it's a rock and hard place kind of thing. I'm not only pushing the finger at Bush here either as you opened the window to. There are plenty more corrupt leaders within the military and I am sure some of them go behind Bush's back or act without his knowledge so he doesn't deserve to take all the blame certainly. You just can't control a person absolutely no matter how hard you try let alone every single person in a country or on a planet. I see this fact brings much fear to the people in our government and denial and they are trying their best to contradict or defy this fact. I wrote about this too if anyone is interested in a separate read. To create the illusion for example, are our police and our soldiers not all dressed the exact same way to a point minus things such as insignia? Do they not try to intimidate everyone to act and think the same and the way that they do and strongly discourage a majority of individuaily? Control the masses perhaps with a drill sargent and countless men standing in lines acting in unison and trained to do the exact same things at the exact same time to an art? Filling their heads with powerful self-invulnerability thoughts. As you say too so many do not see as well as they could and overlook the most vital things which makes them easy pickings and highly vulnerable as sadly I used to be as a young boy because or a non-existant social life and being left with books and tv only. No street smarts then. How horrible it could have been for me if I didn't escape from this prison, this trap. We are at a point now where we will continue to get worse and worse to the point of divine intervention or if you don't believe in that, likely destruction. I am convinced Bush rigged both elections. This is exactly a reason why we don't have direct elections. You can pay off or blackmail, whatever, a handfull of electoral collegiates much easier than you can thousands and millions of people and ensure a victory.

You don't get your money from the Republicans or Democrats, you get it from whatever the government doesn't abuse of the tax money left over. There are programs out there even I have talked with someone retired Air Force about they can't touch that people can easily get or qualify for with money stored away. You are the one who gets money given to yourself so in a way you still work for it but it's not the same. The government only steals and wastes and spends and abuses our money for the most part unless it is in the best interest to do something which coincidentally works out for both of us. For most it's about them and popularity contests and games, not about us. You really have to defend yourself, all of you, in many ways.

I really don't think we are safer because now we have more nuclear material avaiable and biological advancements, not to mention Bush has pissed a good bit of the world off as us or for the ones thinking logically enough not to hold us responsible, pissed at Bush himself and the ones who support or are unknowningly brainwashed by him. The phone card idea is very sweet. I am sure there are so many of them there that would give anything for a chance to talk with their loved ones. Saying and doing are two different things. A magnet or bumper sticker does nothing for them. How can they see it? Does a stupid magnet or sticky piece of paper make them feel good or loved or cared for or give them any of the moral they need? Even snail-mail or email works to have a pen-pal. If I knew how, which I might look into, I would gather a random email and write back and forth to a person over there. I could learn so much and give connection and good spirits and even a nice intelligent friend to talk to. Me being in those shoes, this would be exactly what I would love and it wouldn't have to be from any one country. I have friends in many places in the world and being multi-lingual helps.

Yes you are right Clinton and the rest were elected to be leaders, not fighters. If you are hired to make websites you don't go out and manage network hardware you do the job you were assigned. I remember Clinton one time said if we went to war in Iraq, he would get a shotgun and go down in the trenches with our troops. So much for that huh? more political propoganda and image polishing. You realize though that he's not just liberizing them over there right? Giving someone their freedom and making them conform are two totally separate things. He is Americanizing and as I spent a lot of time saying, people are different and not everyone wants to live the exact same way. It's not just the guerrillas and nationalists who are attacking us over there, not everyone wants the conversion that is taking place and some are seeing exactly what is going on. Also, Of course, some over there are being brainwashed or used the exact same ways without evening totally understanding what they are doing or their cause. I remember the little teen that flew his mini foam airplane into a building window and died. I don't think he totally understood what was going on but he rebelled in the same way as he saw and did the thing I hate people to do. Groups and cults are no good and lead to mass idiocy and group minds and then it causes problems. He really didn't understand the gravity of the situation or the physics of how the towers were brought down exactly the day that they did. There was more going on than what meets the eye. I've seen it many times and if you look close enough you will see what I mean.

It makes me sad to see so many of you on here fighting and gathering up in groups. The whole country has been plunged into a coterminal cold-civil war and behaving very immaturely. Cults and gangs is how it appears to me. Why do you act like you hate each other so much? Why are you letting the fights and immaturities between your party leaders poisoning and spreading through the veins to you? Some are defending people that don't even need to be defended or don't even know your or will never know that you are fighting amoungst yourselves in their name. That is so disgusting it makes me want to puke. I couldn't watch the presidential debates for the same reason because I kept seeing ignorant masses and cults and worshipping and I almost puked all over my keyboard if I didn't pop a VHS in to watch. I can see some of the people that use this euphenism telling you that because of all this in-fighting 'the terrorists have won' not that I would use that one. You're doing it to yourselves and quite effectively I might add. I'm sure I'll hear back for this post too but I welcome it. I really want to hear what is on your minds and how you feel about what I am saying. Your opinions are valuable to me.

Yes I have seen now finally that more than half (majority) think that even with what we got out of it, that the war in Iraq was a mistake. Please don't just accept that those facts you stated are correct. It doesn't take long, especially for the computer savy, to look them up and verify them. That is exactly the kind of mistakes I was telling you about. Question everything and don't let people tell you what to think or bad things will come of it. I agree with you too on the leader thing. I didn't want either Bush nor Kerry for president. I don't want any of them at all. None of them can do what the job demands and we are all human and imperfect. You just can have man ruling man or an absolute leadership. Yes we are still vulnerable too for terrorist attacks. We never needed tigher security in the first place. I saw the tapes and more and it was enough for me. We didn't need to beef up, we needed to actually use and exercise the security we already had from the beginning. The guys in the video set off the alarms. Oh we don't want to hold up the plane go ahead and get on board. Then we all know what happened next according to the government's 'official version of things' which is totally not correct. What is your source for Bush and his admin. thwarting these 20 attacks? You think they could have made it up or created fake evidence to continue a conspriracy coverup even?

Ok if you believe in god and such follow this logic. Satan does all this evil in the world by using people against their knowledge or they are in denial as unwitting pawns. Nothing we do can stop this. Shall we kill these people? Can satan just find more people to replace them and take their place? The only one true force that can put an end to it is God. Makes sense? Yes god works through people too but don't just take a person's word for it when they say God is working through me because satan hides and uses the most innocent and harmless looking things that are taken for granted to catch people off-guard. Noone ever suspects the priest, the nice police officer, the teachers etc. You see what I am getting at?

I think you are wrong on Bush stealing all the votes even though the election in my mind beyond any doubt was rigged. Not a lot of people voted for Bush at all. Most of them voted against Kerry. Bush does lie an awful lot even for a politician and steals a lot too since he has mor ... [truncated]

Bush does lie an awful lot even for a politician and steals a lot too since he has more power to do so then he did when he used to be just a failed business man. I am sure some did foolishly vote for Bush but you have to give people more credit. Some I knew thought Kerry is communistic headed in his directions so they just voted against him. Some just vote because that is their party or their beliefs and some as you say just don't know any better. Neither choice was good so it's a rock and a hard place. People just thought things (even though they will get worse with either candidate) wouldn't get as worse with Bush as they would have with Kerry partly and as I said Bush rigged the election. It's very easy to do even with us having electronic voting.

Oil was the a fake cover story that people would buy. We didn't even go there necessarily for that primarily or what he tried to at first force down our throats. It wasn't about either.

That's exactly why I said that groups and cult behavior is bad. You all fail together and all look bad together and if someone does something it unjustly reflects back upon you. I prefer to be self-reliant and self-sufficient and think by myself uniquely. I want no part in any kind of group activity whatsoever. From what I understand of a chart I found online not to long ago Clinton left us in a surplus when he departed which no president for a long time before had climbed out of and Bush plunged it down to the 0 line and down just as far as it was up and further. He seems to like to spend money like a young teenage girl in a mall or beauty stores. Compulsive spending is pretty destructive and his mom and dad need to clip his credit cards.

I think medals are useless and pointless. You have a medal that could be given justly or unjustly or stollen and it could stand for any number of things. Does it actually tell what happened out there or tell any story? I could march over to Iraq right now, get myself shot, march back home, and grab a purple heart more or less. Medals mean nothing to me and they are just pieces of medal that just like this money, artisticly nice and quite creative but should not be worshiped or revered so strongly. That metal could be going to use in much more important things than that. You are going too far though. Everyone has a personal and professional life. What he does in his own personal time is his business so long as his personal life does not cross over into and affect his professional life or his work. You keep sex out or work and work out of the home. There are plenty of equally messed up people in every other party there is too. Don't think quite so narrowly like that or be all high about your own party. We are all human and do some strange things but it's all relative to point of view. This norm society is supposed to have is bullshit and you are looked down upon if you do not follow it. I am who I am and proud to be so but I also recognise and admit my faults at the same time because I too and not perfect or any better than anyone else. I prefer to stay away from that standard and norm.

lol I love that how polticians try to cover the tracks. "I may have misslead the American public." Someone also once told me 'when Clinton lied noone died' which I had to snicker at. People are strange and different and unpredictable though and I bet with odds at least one person might have suicided over it. Either way that doesn't encourage must trust and he brought his personal life where it didn't belong so he opened that door.

Yes I do believe, 'che', that our government is a waste of our money and is also part of the problem. How much of a par is open to interpretation. Bush is pretty much a cancer and I don't see Jesus or God embracing that or his murderous acts. Man has no place or right to rule others or to pass judgement over others. You are doing the same here 'bornagainbushlover' and in a sense playing God. Why should you decide who lives and dies or who is punished? Has God directly told you any names? More than likely not. We are all welcome to our own interpretations to God too. God is too complex to understand and we are not meant to understand him or his actions. Words are destructive to something such as the signficance of God and trying to explain it willl only deform what it is. The bible was written with words for man and was purposely written to be a little open but still very clear.

Yes a man is the journey he takes in life. Words that are man-made or satanicly influenced like Democrat or Republican and many others as you said have no meaning whatsoever period. They are only used by man to pass judgement over others or be in their little gangs and start fights and wars over it and spread hate. Many hear a person is a member of a certain group and then peg them instantly as having certain qualities. It's human nature anyway. When are humans going to learn that nothing is the same and that you can't group and classify or make norms for everything or to fit everything?

As long as you are someone to fight with or if you disagree with anyone then you wil be a target.

That is my two cents ;)

i have two of the flawed quarters, where do i sell them?

It's a funny thing, one comes to the page looking for information on the misprint quaters (which were very helpful), and as one might be interested in scrolling down to look for more info, they would see left wing losers, who can't be older than fourteen, judging by their lack of vinacular choices, and poor mechanics. I am fully aware that my skills in laungage arts are not the greatest, but getting to my point. QUIT BITCHING,BELLY-ACHE'N, & GRIPING ABOUT POLITICAL TRASH, AND POST SOMETHING LESS OPIONATED, THAT HELPS PEOPLE. NOT PISS THEM OFF.
P.S. I would be doing something more useful with my life, but I caught mono from a slut at a party.

    Dear Jon,
Its all Nania's fault. This was a thread about state quarters until she got involved. She must be the slut that gave you mono.

My advice is stay away from parties, especially those of the political persuasion, have no fun at all, work hard, wash your hands regularly and only put stuff in your mouth that doesn't come back out when you are done. Clean thoughts, clean underwear, safe sex from a distance of at least 12ft., loose shoes and a warm place to shit, nose to the grindstone, no more than a half hour of television a day...all that and daily affirmations will keep you on the road happiness.

    Works for me

Allright, people stop whining and do something, this is the land of the free. Understand this people Bush does not have absolute power. He alone didn't start the war. Yes he is the pres. but there are other forces at work too. Do you really think you know everything that the gov. does? come on they only tell us what they have to. They have to keep things from us in attempt to keep intel from the rest of the world, duh. I'd love to know alot of what they don't tell us but since I dont think I'll ever be Pres. or cia or whatever I guess i never will. well I did vote for Bush,(and I'd do it again) and yes i happen to be very LOW middle if I can see over the poverty line, at times but the Democrats did more harm to me than the repulicans. Why doesn't Ted Nugent run for office, you might not think it but he is extremely intellegent and would make America work for whatever they got. ( I know that will never happen but hey if your gonna dream, dream big...)God Bless the USA and especially our troops. Thank you for your time to read this hehe

1 year later - WOW, did I start all that bickering, I don't think so. Read my comment at the very beginning and you will see that I never mentioned any of the things they were all fighting about. People (The Fish) just need someone to blame, it's human nature. BUT I see that Sadam is still alive and kicking and so is Osama :-0 I thought for sure they'd both be history by now, seeing as who is still in charge and the "wonderful job they are doing" - excuse me while I gag !!!
