As a DC resident who rides the Metro daily, I'd like to say that this is wholly ridiculous and unnecessary:

If there was a bomb planted on a train, what in the world would this man and his rifle do about it?

| He'd probably tell the people frantically trying to leave the train to exit in an orderly fashion. Or else. |

| As a DC resident who sometimes rides the metro (though, who is thankfully 1000 miles away from DC in the Smokey Mountains) I would like to know when they actually found a metro car with this few passengers on it? |

| haha, countertop.
my guess is that they were all afraid of the gun and exited. hmm, that must be their protection strategy - if we scare all of the passengers away, no one will be hurt in an attack.... |
