  • Bracket Update #1

       March 22, 2007

The NCAA tourney starts up again today so it's time to take a look at the standings in our pool. Right now, "Tray", "Unabrewer" and "KVBigSis" are tied for the lead. Unfortunately, KV's pick of Wisconsin will doom her to also-ran status. Speaking of stupid picks, my team, the Motion W's, is bringing up the rear. The only person I'm beating is Hat and he neglected to make his picks in time.

As for the ultimate winner, it's still anyone's (well, anyone but me, KV & Hat) race. Personally, I'm rooting for Ohio State (Big Ten loyalty), but I also have a good bracket in another pool that has Georgetown beating Florida in the final, so that'd be okay too.

How about you guys? Any good bracket stories to share?

Actually, I can no longer win either. the Unabrewer has a nearly identical final scenario, and more points than me now.

I hadn't checked anybody else's brackets, but felt pretty good about what was left of mine. My entire elite eight and on is still intact. Of course, anything can happen--but I've certainly been in worse shape before. In fact, I usually AM in worse shape.

I'm doing my average. Somewhere in the 40 percentiles... Yick. I have to go pull up my JPG from last year where after the first set, I had the number 1 by my name on the espn challange. That didn't last long, but I cling to it still...

Michigan is looking at the WVU coach to replace Amaker. That would rock, although I would rather see the Winthrop coach there.

I didn't pick many upsets and the ones I picked lost. I have all eight of my elite eight left, two have already won.

I haven't compared my bracket to anyone else's so I don't know if I can catch up or not.

If Georgetown beats Florida in the final, I'll win 2nd place ($250) in my work pool. W00t!

in my big pool ive got a perfect south region, 7/8 elite 8, & 4/4 final four. as long as OSU wins, i win. about $300 if they beat FL, $150 if they beat gtown.
