The guy behind Post Secret was in Madison the other day. During his talk, he held up a few postcards that he couldn't share in his book due to copyright concerns:
He held up a postcard with an image of the Twin Towers. It read: "Everyone who knew me before 9/11 believes I'm dead."
I've often speculated that at least five or six people used 9/11 to fake their own death. What do you think? Did anyone take advantage of the attack like that? And, is it weird that I even think about these things?

| I'm sure people did. It's like joining the foreign legion; only you don't have to leave the country or serve in the French military. |

| Absolutely some did. No you're not crazy or even morbid for wondering. Women escaping abusive boyfriends. Men who want out. They saw a chance and took it. Of course, if they get caught, the hell that will befall them knows no bounds. |

you saw this a few weeks ago, didn't you, kris?
A woman who has claimed to be one of 19 survivors of the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy might actually be a fraud, the New York Times has reported. it's like what you're talking about, only opposite. ;-) |
