COOL! I was hoping y'all would do this! And this year Michigan got in. Granted we're probably one and done, but hey, it's good to be back in!

Wisconsin, terrible though they may be, got one easy draw.

Oh I'm always in for a good march madness butt kicking... unfortunately usually on the receiving end.

Big Ten went 2-1 in the first night! Not a bad start. Minnesota had a big lead but didn't have enough guns for Texas. UM took a big lead and held on for dear life. After 35 minutes of hard pressing they just got tired. But they still held on. Purdue did the same but their lead wasn't really ever in doubt.

Good luck Wisconsin! Hope they win but Fl. State is on a roll right now. MSU is always good for a win. OSU... Well don't know..

Minnesota loses twice in the playoffs tonight. A good night.

Big Ten was 2-2 - Illinois and Minnesota lost.

I'm annoyed that apparently Wisconsin has to win the whole WCHA playoffs in order to make the NCAA playoffs. I think because they got in when they didn't deserve to last year they're going to NOT get in when they should this year.

It's all about the pairwise. Wisconsin lost some trivial games they should have easily won, like the pair to NMU. Wisconsin would be helped by an RIT loss tonight, so it could be possible they could yet sneak in without winning the WCHA but they do need a win tonight.

RIT? Do you really mean RPI?

    #  March 20th, 2009 9:48 AM      BVBigBro
No, RIT. If RIT loses Mankato becomes the last team under consideration and Wisconsin is 2-1-1 agaisnt Mankato.

Rochester Institute of Technology?? Now they're just making schools up to keep Wisconsin out...

RIT cannot get in without winning their tournament. They are 25th in the pairwise rankings which makes them the last team under consideration. If they lose tonight, Mankato would become 25th. Wisconsin is 18th. They probably need to win both games this weekend and definitely need to if RIT wins tonight.

Yeah, I forgot about Illinois. Still, the B10 went 4-3, better than the vaunted ACC. And we were 2-0 in head to head against them! Nice job by the Badgers too. Florida State was on a tear coming in.

So, I think that at this point the winner is either llw or Squibbly. Not a lot of people with horses still in the race anymore.

So no matter who wins tonight, llw is our winner! Email me at kris AT dummocrats.com with who you'd like your donation to go to. ;-)
