| I can't even believe that Sidney got the effin' 20 post. I dunno what they do with that. They don't want to gun him to the lead but they also don't want to be hung out 8 wide.
Okay - interesting that on the morning line the winners of the Illinois Derby, Arkansas Derby and Blue Grass Stakes are all 30-1 - pretty generous. |

| Yet just this past Sunday, there was no way his superior ability would fail to get him to the lead and rail without generating a fast pace. |

| With a decent post he could have gotten a nice stalking position - think 3rd or 4th and then accelerated on the turn to be ahead by the eighth pole.
From the 20, the only way they even get a stalking position is to gun it from the start and even then they'll be hung wide on the turn. My only hope is that they don't even try and instead just try to lay back and make that acceleration from further back, but basically, he's screwed. |

| That's not an only hope, it's a standard Derby victory recipe. |

| But that's not his style. He wins because he can put in that kind of acceleration from the front - so he doubles his advantage. Basically, he's a front running version of Smarty Jones. |

| Just by looking at the form, the horses I like are Icebox, Dublin, Missionimpazible. |

| I like Ice Box a lot - not to win but if I was doing a cold exacta I'd have him in the #2 slot.
I'm not in love with Mission Impazible, but I'd include Dublin in exotics. |

| I plugged the field into my Dad's old horse racing computer and it says:
1. Lookin At Lucky 2. Homeboykris (WTF?) 3T. Devil May Care 3T. Ice Box Interesting since Homeboykris is probably going to be the longest price on the board. |

| BV, you almost have to pick Mission Impazible since he's the only Unbridled descendant in the field. |

I know a lot of people don't like Bob Baffert, but this funny:
"He's got to break well," said Bob Baffert, who trains Lookin At Lucky and Conveyance, who drew post 12. "Plan A is to break well. Plan B is we're screwed." |
