Arraignment Seals Trump’s Fate as First Ex-US Pres. to Be Criminally Indicted

A 16-page indictment document read last April 04,2023 in a Manhattan Court in New York, sealed Donald Trump’s fate as the first ex-US Pres. to be indicted on multiple criminal charges. The charges partly stemmed from the “hush money” paid to and received by former porn star Stormy Daniels. However, the payment was linked to several felonious acts of document falsification and misrepresentations as they made use of election campaign funds.

The Manhattan legal district office with whom former Trump personal lawyer Michael Cohen cooperated, released an accompanying 13-page “Statement of Facts” detailing the circumstances supporting the indictment charges.

Brief Summary of the April 04, 2023 Indictment Charges

According to the “Statement of Facts” hush money was actually paid to three women with whom Trump had extra-marital affairs. The payout was allegedly part of a personwl clean-up act for Trump’s 2016 presidential candidacy campaign. Yet Stormy Daniels continued to make threats to divulge details of Trump’s extra-marital affairs with her. Not unless she received additional “hush money” to which Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen was able to negotiate a $130K deal.

As the turn of events took place in 2018 during Trump’s tenure as president , Michael Cohen and other Trump cohorts served time in prison for charges of several crimes. The charges included the Trump Organization’s attempt to build a Trump Tower business in Russia. Although Trump’s other associates chose to remain loyal by not divulging information to reduce their prison terms, Michael Cohen chose to cooperate instead.

Cohen testified that documents were falsified to cover up the hush money he personally paid to Stormy Daniels. The latter, on the other hand, appeared before a grand jury and testified about her extra-marital affair with Trump at the time when Melania Trump was pregnant.
